About Us

What to Expect

The first thing you’ll notice if you join us is that we have a building that’s in a little bit of disrepair. We’re working on renewing it, while we also as a church are in a process of being transformed.

Come as you are, and come ready to experience God, who loves you where you are and loves you too much to leave you there.

We still sing a few hymns and sit on pews. We’re a multi-generational, multi-cultural church family. You may find our “style” to be a bit eclectic, just like we are. Sunday morning is when we get together as a big group to celebrate Christ, but we get together outside of the church building, too, in small groups and big ones. We’d love to see you any time.

Our History

In 1962, the foundation was laid at 769 Meadow Drive for a Christian and Missionary Alliance Church plant to worship and together be the visible gathering & body of Christ in the West Creek Hills neighborhood on the West Shore. Hidden away on a residential street, and with over sixty years of ministry as a church, our small group of disciples following Jesus go by the name Discover Church.

What We Believe

We belong to the Christian and Missionary Alliance (C&MA), a family of churches and missionaries across the globe who are dedicated to fulfilling the call given in Acts 1:8. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (NIV)

We agree wholeheartedly with the statement of faith found here: https://www.cmalliance.org/about/beliefs/doctrine
